I see nothing wrong with playing Larger schools. It gives you the opportunity to gauge your program against the big boys. It also lets you know how far you have to go if you ever want to play in the big league. Also, if you can make money while doing it...why not... shrug

We are not only playing sports for winning championships and entertainment purposes. We also need/want to make money from it.So what if FAMU's defense was shown up. It is something they know they have to work on. It's either the players or the coach. A lot of school's defense will be exposed no matter what level they play. They will have to make adjustments or corrections if they can.  Some adjustments just can't be made if you don't have the skills or talent. It is what it is.Simple as that.

If HBCU teams are gonna play $$ games they ought to get at least a minimum of $500,000. $325,000 is CHUMP change when the PWC will make in excess of  4 or 5 million on the game.

YYYYYY you ask?

NSU vs Rutgers - $325,000
Hampton vs WM - probably $300,000 (that's what I heard we would have gotten to play them)
FAMU vs Miami -  probably $300,000 $600,000 + part of the gate above a certain number of seats sold
SC State vs Ga Tech -probably $300,000 or more
Presbyterian vs Wafe Forest - $300,000 or more

You do the math then ask why again. Oh, and don't forget the $1.4 MILLI Shocked N Ohio State is gonna pay Colorado!

Pride hasnt stopped you guys from being treated like whores in every Chicken George Classic that pops up, now has it???  At least the big boys are paying top dollar to lay down.

If more alums gave back financially (and by promoting a positive image of the school), then just maybe we would not see these so-called "money games"....
