I hope my fellow CIAA schools Elizabeth City State and Chowan "weather" Earl without any major disruptions.  I'm praying for the Vikings and Hawks!

Hopefully drainage issues on campus have been resolved since I was there.

Ecity will get some water in the streets as they always do.

I think my Vikings will be ok.

WHERE did I say there was NO wind damage with Hugo?

Do us all a favor and STFU.

Idiot. Roll Eyes

as usual you have nothing to say so you go to name calling.  you have such a limited vocabulary.  you said hugo was mostly water.  it wasn't.  hugo was mostly wind.  hugo still had hurricane force winds when he hit charlotte, nc.  it was wind, not mostly water, that caused most of the hugo damage.  ask the people that lived in charlotte and the greenville-spartanburg area and points to the coast about the vortices.

once again cholly has nothing to offer so he refers to name calling and profanity.

Hey, if it walks like and idiot and talks like an idiot and it's name is y01485, then guess what?

It IS an idiot.

One that needs to STFU. Roll Eyes

IDIOT.

as usual cholly is wrong and has nothing to add so he resorts to name calling and profanity.  it must really suck to be him.

the outer banks, as i type, is under a hurricane warning and the only thing cholly can do is name call and use profanity.  he claims to work in the emergency preparedness field.  if he did he would use this thread as a teaching moment to remind us what we should do if we are in the same situation.  instead the only thing he can do is name call and use profanity.  i am so glad he has nothing to do with the professionals in the richmond area and the commonwealth of virginia emergency preparedness professionals.  i know the citizens of north carolina and virginia are much better off because of that.

lulions, if earl eases to the west slightly you might be barely in the area.  depending how the power grid is laid out you could be effected.  be careful and safe.  tomorrow physically check on those you know in the watch area.  especially the elderly.

they are reporting 16 foot waves at kill devil hills, nc and 23 foot waves at virginia beach.  my cousin in greenville, nc texted me saying they didn't get anything.  they closed the flood gates in norfolk, va.  i hope the hampton tunnel doesn't flood again.  all ferry service in nc is suspended until further notice.

you can see the weather by clicking here http://www.ncdot.org/traffictravel/

scroll down to the county drop down.  click on dare.  then click on the camera icon.

the only virginia beach webcam on the beach was here.  it updates every 15 seconds.  http://www.oldcoastguardstation.com/towercam.aspx
