At their regular meeting on June 17, the Wildcat Nation showed, once again, that one of the best ways to show your support for a cause or organization is to “put your money where your mouth is”. With Fort Valley State University President Larry E. Rivers on hand to receive the check,
the Wildcat Nation matched its verbal support of FVSU athletics with financial backing. Comprised of FVSU alumni and supporters of Wildcats athletics, the Wildcat Nation donated $20,000 to the FVSU Foundation, earmarked for athletics.According to Albert O’Bryant, president of the Wildcat Nation, “Anytime we can contribute our time, effort, or financial resources to help the Wildcats, we are pleased to do so. The men and women who are part of the Wildcat Nation give so much of themselves to FVSU throughout the course of the year. This check presentation is just another example of our collective passion and commitment to the university and its athletic program.”
Membership in the Wildcat Nation is open to anyone who wants join and support FVSU athletics. For more information about becoming a member, please inquire at
