Somebody Loves You Baby sounds superb! I have never heard that played so well!  bow

I agree, Hampton has their flashes of brilliance every now and then...I would put them in the top 5 MEAC right about now give or take how another Northern MEAC band is performing

Giving honor to God (and seeing how i couldn't make it to church today) here are some of my fave gospel tunes that have been done by marching bands....

FAMU - We Fall Down

FAMU - Praise is What I Do

B-CU - Stand

I love great HBCU bands. nod I will give a great band a compliment in a second. Sometimes that has gotten me in trouble with my band friends at FVSU but I give props where they are deserved. nod I also love bands and crowds with great school spirit. We used to have that same spirit at FVSU but for some reason it fizzled with this current generation but that's another story. lol Our band is on the way back and I support them regardless. nod   clap

I wish SOMEBODY would play "OHIO" by the Ohio Players. It's tailor made for a band with great brass.

I hate this song with a passion.  Many bands play this, but nobody plays this song like those darn Aggies. dedhorse

Oh yeah, I LOVE when the NCCU MSM plays "Never Too Much" by Luther VanDross and I WOULD love to hear Jaheim's,  "Hey, How You Doin'" in a nice slow, swaying tempo.

I'm going to give Ball & Parlay to TU in the Shed.  I've seen it a few times, and they tear it up.  They own it.

Reminds me of when the Morehouse band used to play Ole Morehouse Spirt [same song, same tune, a little faster]...and I really miss it!!!    nod
