October is a murderous schedule for the Marsh Cats. But good luck with your schedule. Except when NSU comes to town for your homecoming. I might try to make that game for real! nod

Since I am located in SSU Tigerland.I know I will be attending One game,THE G-RAMS...Glad we're back on the schedule. It probably wont last when you get into more of your conference games, but the in-State games should be a good money game for you. Depening on who and where we are paying, I might try to make the Fote Balley game with you all. All of your games look good. Nice schedule! Go Rams !!!

Good to see ASU and SSU renew their rival, even if it's just for this season. The Golden Rams used to show up and show out in Macon, GA.  I wonder if this game will resume play at a neutral site.   shrug

From the schedule, it appears that the Albany ST - SSU game will be played in SAV.

Unless there is a change, the FVS-SSU game is SSU's home game and is suppose to be played at a neutral site that had yet to be finalized.

Huh?  Why Waycross?  I guess if there is a silver lining, at least AlbSU and SSU both will get exposure in an area where there isn't a large African American college educated population, nor a large base of HBCU alums.  Neither do the people of that area have a lot of exposure to African American culture.  So it can be a win - win situation after all!!!

Waycross is the county seat of, and only incorporated city in, Ware County in the U.S. state of Georgia. The population was 15,333 at the 2000 Census. A small portion of the city extends into Pierce County. According the U.S. Census Bureau, the population of this small section was estimated at just 9 in 2008.

Waycross is the principal city of the Waycross micropolitan area, a micropolitan area that covers Pierce and Ware counties and had a combined population of 51,119 at the 2000 Census.

WSM what's the completion date for the renovated T W Wright Stadium?

When completed in the summer of 2011, the new Theodore A. Wright Stadium will accommodate 8,000 patrons – 4,500 on the home side and 3,500 on the visitor side – in a combination of bleachers and seats. The existing concrete bleachers will be ground up and used during construction.

Nearly all stadium structures will be demolished as part of the upgrade, but the skybox, built in 2008, and track and field will remain intact. An elevator and restrooms will be added to the skybox and team locker rooms, concession areas and restrooms for the home and visitor sides of the stadium will be constructed. A 500-seat student section will be located below the President’s Club section, and the SSU Student Government Association will have its own skybox for use during football games.

The stadium renovations – and construction of a new student complex, also slated to begin in July – will be financed by the Georgia Higher Education Facilities Authority (GHEFA), which enables pooled financing of multiple projects under a single bond issue to help fund capital projects for the University System of Georgia and Department of Technical and Adult Education.

SSU students voted last year to begin paying in the fall an extra $150 semester fee to help fund both the stadium renovations and student center construction, expected to cost a combined $17 million. The expected cost for stadium renovations are $4.5 million. Students were involved in the design process for both projects and will be able to use the stadium for other events at no additional cost.
