It's just nice to have hard scientific proof that DUMB people tend to be conservatives and the smart ones liverals.

For men, on the other hand, sexual exclusivity goes against the grain evolutionarily. With a goal of spreading genes, early men had multiple mates. Since women had to spend nine months being pregnant, and additional years caring for very young children, it made sense for them to want a steady mate to provide them resources.

It seems reasonable to conclude from this report on the study that modern-day liberals are less promiscuous than conservatives.  But, highlander, sexual exclusivity has nothing to do with homosexuality as far as I can see.

On the other hand, it would not surprise me if more gay liberals ADMITTED (to a stranger conducting a survey) to being gay than gay conservatives would. 

IMO, conservatives experience more cognitive dissonance as gays because:
1) like the recently-exposed gay Repub state senator in Calif, they take public positions which are perceived as being anti-gay and
2) their publicly announced religious beliefs conflict with their private behavior.
