no  Ok...after watching all these routines...I am wondering did someone from each squad go around with a camera permanently attached to their heads and "cop" police  one another on the idea/theme/concepts of a Doll theme this year...or Did a memo  read come out stating they all had to be Black Dolls?.....  I am glad this is an Exhibition...It is surely not worthy of being a Competition...

Nevertheless, if I had to rank the squads based on basic Cheerleading (meaning incorportion of  arm motions, cheer, jump, and dance with extra points to tumbling) here would be my top picks.

1.  Bowie State- they had jumps, cheering, tumbling, and their uniforms Doll attire set them apart from the other Dolls!  Their costume drew me into their performance!

2.  St. Augustine- they were tight with their arm motions, good tranistions, and energy!

Honorable Mentioning
The rest of them I guess....I mean they were all kinda of neck and neck...if i had to chose a 3rd pick...it would be I guess VSU only because of their Energy!  shrug

From 2000-2010 most of us have seen Thematic types of exhibition shows from the CIAA squads....The CIAA Cheer President should considered telling each school for "one year"....to cheer in appropriate uniforms....You can be unique/different in a traditional Cheer attire!  Each school's style and technique would set them apart.... nod

Last place would definitely be Shaw-  CIAA has its own separate Step Show!  Good Grief...  crazy

and this is how I "C" it!  holla!

nono2  I will not lie and say "Overall nice job each squad"....Everyone can do better!  Hence the quality of "SuperSaturday" Cheering Exhibition use to be fun...but it is going down down down!   crazy

Growing up, I used to love attending those games in Capel Arena when WSSU, NCCU and VSU came to Fayettevile.  These beautiful women have always been my favorite groups to watch:

ok,

I will have to watch the others but i h ave just finished watching the first video and i have to tell you I was kind of bored. I felt like I was looking at a step show rather than cheerleaders. Props to VSU for the costumes but I was waiting for some cheering and I felt let down.  no

Isn't the purpose of cheerleaders to get fans to cheer and yell during a game?  The Woo Woos are one of the best to get their fans to do that at a game.  It is called "call and response".   CIAA cheerleading is definitely not a step show.  It is stomp and shake.  CIAA fans don't get into watching pyramid building and watching girls standing on another girls shoulders and holding up a sign trying to get the fans to read and shout out what is on the sign like to see in the other HBCU conferences.

During the ciaa exhibition they don't cheer much at all, it all about entertaining the crowd. If Ciaa cheerleaders only cheered you would really be bored. Lets face it, if you're not stunting cheering is rather vanilla. I never said this out loud because of you siac cats lurking but Ciaa cheering style is rather tired. It works when they battle other squads, but from a pure cheer perspective, it's boring. I guess I can say that about all cheerleaders who are not stunting. The Woo woos work only because they are very synchronized.

You ought to see the SIAC cheerleaders cheer.  They don't stunt much during the games we had with them.  But their cheers were lol  They do get in line and flip though.

Thanks. Its not that I have something negative to say about the cheerleaders. no Its just I am not used to stomp and shake. I was wondering was that stomp and shake but I didnt know one way or the other. Hey when in Rome..... I am just used to stunts and tumbling. You can throw in a dance break down but the base is S and T. shrug   I must admit They did have costumes on, I give them that. Im just not used to it.

Now SIAC, I can say FVSU s and t. ASU as well. TU I think does... Not sure about Benedict,  I think they stomp and shake. Not sure about the rest though.  Again comment was not meant in a negative way.
