C'mon, did you then and do you now oppose civilian trials for terrorists?  

If you say "Yes" to both, you would surely understand my skepticism about the past and my request for some "proof of life,"  so to speak.

Let's take the Republican's alleged approach to health care reform and try it here.  Maybe my question was too comprehensive.  So, let's take a step-by-step approach.

Do you disagree with the Obama administration's decision to try terrorists, like the underwear bomber, in Federal court?

I will take your continued silence on the issue as support for the Obama admin policy since y'all have never shirked from taking exception to Obama's actions in the past.

I really don't know what was so difficult about that question that it took 2 weeks+ for one of you guys to answer it.  I guess you guys thought that I'd leave it alone after a while.  

But I AM glad to have a response.

I suspect, of course, that I know WHY it took so long.

So................now, of course, highlander, comes the next completely logical and germane question:

Did you oppose, despite lack of criticism by Repub leaders, civilian trials for the 100+ persons tried as terrorists under the Bush admin?

You know I will be skeptical if you say that you did, so please give some "proof."

If you would rather cut to the chase and respond to my earlier set of questions and suppositions, we don't have to do this step by step.

What's the deal?  Did you oppose the Bush admin trying terrorists in Fed court or not?

I must say that after this question pending for WEEKS, I think I know the answer must be painful for you and others, who - according to the current Repub/Conserv playbook - must NOW criticize the same actions that y'all had, I SUSPECT, no problem with under Bush.

FIRST OF ALL, PROPS TO HIGHLANDER FOR AT LEAST RESPONDING -finally - TO THE SECOND PART OF THE QUESTION!!!

Olds..t, of course, and y04, surprisingly, have not had the guts to respond to the question.

Here is highlander's response:

Bison.....I had no problems with the previous admin trying terrorists in civilian courts. However, the Obama admin has changed the rules with its Miranda rights ruling.....surely you recognise that.

So, highlander, I deduce from that answer that your current opposition is due to something relating to Miranda rights.

I would appreciate you schooling me on that because I recall, hopefully correctly, that the shoe bomber was read his Miranda Rights in about 5 minutes during the Bush admin, while the underwear bomber was not read his rights for about 50 minutes.
