NCCU/WSSU/SS Div 1 Accreditation

I am confused.  If Savannah State and Central may get full MEAC Conference certification this summer, then is Central finished with there probation period and eligible for Conference champioship?  Did not WSSU start their transition before Central, so why would Central be possibly selected for full MEAC conference this summer and not WSSU?

Can someone clear this up for me.  I saw one explanation but it was also not clear.

Ill take it a step further. WSSU was supposed to fund some tennis scholarships and once some players graduated, they did not issue new ones (primarily to meet Title IX). As a result, they were penalized one year. Since WSSU made the jump one year before NCCU, they would have been Championship eligible the same year.

Savannah State is already Division I so they would immediately qualify for MEAC titles once they are accepted into the conference.

N.C. Central is still transitioning to Division I and, like Winston-Salem State, would not qualify for any MEAC titles until they are fully accredited at Division I.  I think that dateline is 2012.  Therefore NCCU is technically a provisional member of the MEAC until they are fully accredited.

Winston-Salem State has elected to return to Division II so their MEAC membership will end this summer.

It is what it is--that is until you bolster the annual fundraising to move in the DI direction.  From what current administrators  are saying, even after Chancellor Reaves leaves (in another 1 1/2 retires) there will  be no talk or movement to DI with the WSSU Board of Trustees unless there is significant funding (totaling a minimum of $10-million) in hand! So, that said it will be a minimum of 9 years before talk of DI surfaces at WSSU again.

This is more than likely a permanent move back to the CIAA.

Yeah right. who are you getting your information from. 
A very close source told me that it will take us 2 years to go back to D-I
