How do you link a another web site url

Maroon and Gray:
with just a keyword or pharse. I did the "insert hyperlink" but it posts the full url.

Go to this page in the Help File and scroll down to the section SMF Bulletin Board Code for guidance on creating the descriptive link.
The key is to put "url=" before the http link
add a "]" after the url,
put in your description,
then end the tag.
